How to prepare for English Section of SBI PO Exam

SBI PO Exam English section includes various types of questions such as:

To attempt these questions you should read all the lines and reach to the theme of the passage. Opt for the first sentence which is usually the unique one.  Then find the second sentence which will connect it to give you the clarity of the topic and so on. Be careful with the sentences starting with pronouns and arrange them according to the nouns related to it. Once you have synchronized the matter you can get the best answer quickly. While finding the last sentence make sure that it contains the central theme of the passage with concluding tone. After arranging you need to check the continuity of the passage with respect to the topic in discussion.

  1. Spotting Errors/ Sentence Improvement/Correction
This question set is sentence based. Read the sentence first and then locate the grammatical error. Study the structure of the sentence and eliminate the errors by looking into the options given.
Besides preparing these questions you should improve your vocabulary also. Learn new words and use them in your daily life. Develop the habit of reading English newspaper or novel.
