How many marks are required to get a post in CBI through SSC CGL Exam?

Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Graduate Level Exam every year. Higher the score better are the chances to get posted in a good government department such as CBI or Income – Tax or External Affairs. There are the most desired departments by the aspirants of government jobs.

According to the SSC CGL Notification 2021 SSC CGL Exam is held in four phases namely, Tier I, II, III and IV. SSC CGL Exam Tier I and II are online, Tier III is on pen and paper mode and Tier IV is Skill Test. The merit of a candidate will be evaluated on overall performance of an aspirant in Tier-I, Tier- II and Tier – III. Finally a skill test will be conducted which is a qualifying in nature only for the Tax Assistant Post. The ultimate way to enhance the score in SSC CGL Tier I and II is to  join SSC COACHING IN CHENNAI or a place nearby your home town.

The cut –off marks for SSC CGL CBI post varies every year. It depends upon the overall performance of the aspirants appearing in the exam all over India. If we speak of Tier I and II, as these common to all the department openings, one needs to score more than 550 to get hold of CBI or equivalent department.

Following are the reasons on the basis of which CBI cut off marks varies:
  1. Due to mounting competition year after year as number of candidates are increasing for the SSC CGL Exam
  2. It depends upon the number of vacancies being notified every year. In case the vacancies are more in number cut off will be low and if less vacancies then cut off will be on the higher side.
  3. Posts like CBI Inspector, Income Tax Inspector, AAO, ASO have high preferences as compared to other posts.
Hope to see most of you with high marks to grab the prestigious departments like CBI, Income Tax, etc.
All the best!!!
