Know All About the Notification for Canara Bank PO Posts

Canara Bank is one of the leading Public Sector Banks having more than 6100 branches all over India invites ONLINE APPLICATION to apply for Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance ( PGDBF ). It is a specially designed training course for graduates who can take admission either in through Manipal Global Education Services Pvt Ltd., Bengaluru or NITTE Education International Pvt Ltd., Mangaluru, which are recognised by UGC.
Canara Bank has published a Notification for the post of Probationary Officer. Candidates who are interest can apply for the PO Posts till January 21st 2018. There are 450 vacancies across India.
  1. Educational Qualification: Candidate should be a Graduate with a minimum of 60% marks. For SC/ST/PWBD minimum marks is 55%, in any discipline from a recognized University by the Government of India or by the Central Government.
  2. Age Limit: Candidate must be of Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years of age i..e not born earlier than 2.01.1988 and not later than 1.1.1998 ( both days inclusive )
  3. Salary of Probationary Officer: Rs. 23,700 – Rs. 42,020/- Per Month

  1. Essential Qualification:
Computer Literate: Candidates applying for the post must possess operating and working knowledge in computer systems. He or she must have or acquire the skills within 6 months from the date of joining the Bank.
 Hindi Knowledge: The candidates should have a working knowledge in Hindi. In case he or she do not possess already then it must be acquired  before the completion of probationary period.

  1. Process of Selection:
Canara bank will conduct an ONLINE OBJECTIVE TEST + GROUP DISCUSSION + INTERVIEW. Objective test will be conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai.
  1. General Instructions:
Candidates should not send Documents or application print now; it will be required at the later stage.  In case he or she is shortlisted for Group Discussion and Interview then one can submit application the along with the required documents.
  1. Documents required at the time of Group Discussion and Interview is:
  • Print-out of GD and Interview Call Letter
  • Proof of Date of Birth along with proof of certificate for applicable age relaxation, if any
  • Certificates and Mark lists of SSC / SSLC / X Std., 10+2 / PUC / Intermediate,
  • Graduation, Post Graduation etc.
  • Caste Certificate, in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates & Disability
  • Certificate, in case of PWBD candidates
  • Experience Certificate, if any
  • Identity Proof
Any other relevant documents in support of candidature
Candidates must carry their originals while attending the GD and interview. All the required copies of the documents should be self attested or else they will not be allowed to take up GD and Interview.
  1. How to Apply?
Candidates must read the contents of the advertisement and make sure their eligibility before applying. Those who are eligible can apply ON-LINE through Bank’s website http://www.canarabank.com/ Applicants must have his or her valid e-mail ID. The registered e-mail id should be kept functional till selection. All the concerned communications will be provided to the candidates to this e-mail ID only as and when it comes. Candidates must visit the Bank’s website http://www.canarabank.com/english/careers/recruitment and click on the link “RP–2/2017 – Recruitment of Probationary Officers in JMGS-I on completion of specially designed PGDBF Course”.
Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature as per the terms given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature. He or she must fill in the correct spellings of his or her father/husband, etc while filling their online application. Changes at later stage may disqualify the candidature as the same will be reflected in the subsequent mark sheets and diploma certificate of the successful candidates.
Candidates should fill in the application carefully.  Before submitting the online application candidates are advised to use ‘SAVE AND NEXT’ facility to verify and modify the details in case required. One cannot make any changes after clicking on the SUBMIT button. In case the information furnished by the candidate is invalid or incorrect then his or her candidature deemed to be cancelled. 
Candidates must submit only one application. In case he or she has submitted multiple applications then the latest valid completed application will be saved but the application fee / intimation charges paid for the other multiple registration(s) will stand forfeited.
