ICICI Bank Offering Prestigious Probationary Officer Job

Banking sector is expanding its horizon for the past few years in India. There are many additions made in the system which demands more subordinates to be employed.  The candidates who are aspiring for banking sector jobs can opt for both public sector banks as well as private sector banks. There are three main examining bodies who are conducting common written exam such as IBPS, SBI and RBI.
Those who are not able to crack these exams can also opt for reputed banks in private sector such as ICICI, YES, HDFC, etc., are also offering similar posts with same pay packages as to that of Nationalized banks.
ICICI bank is running a special diploma program for young professionals. It invites online applications every year to train the Indian Nationals for the appointment of young professionals as Probationary Officer. The institute renders professional coaching to those who are selected for Post Graduate Diploma in Banking for ICICI Manipal Academy.

ICICI Bank

ICICI Manipal Probationary Officers (PO) Programmer is a diploma for Post Graduate in Banking by the name PGDB. ICICI bank is running this program in partnership with Manipal University.
The main objective of this training program is to magnetize young graduates who are targeting for banking jobs in future. This training will boost the skills and knowledge of the candidates to understand the basic functioning of the bank’s day to day activities effectively.

Program Highlights

It is one-year full time residential programmer carried out at ICICI Manipal Academy (IMA) campus, Bengaluru. It is followed by an internship and on-the-job training at ICICI Bank.
The Program spotlights a reasonable approach to provide inputs of relevant knowledge, developing ethical banking skills and to shape the personality for the required behaviors.
The training has a main focus to impart knowledge and skills for the core banking areas like banking products, processes, systems, regulations and compliance frameworks involved in day-to-day operations.

Structure of Program

The structure of the Diploma Program is as follows:
Term 1 (4 months) - Classroom training at IMA, Bengaluru
Term 2 (2 months) - Internship at ICICI Bank
Term 3 (2 months) - Classroom training at IMA, Bengaluru
Term 4 (4 months) - On-the-job training at ICICI Bank

 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the applicants for the diploma course are as follows:
  1. a) Candidate should not be more than 25 years of age, as on application date.
  2. b) Those that are born before the date mentioned in the notification are not allowed for the registration.
  3. c) Should have a degree with minimum 55% marks aggregate
  4. d) Fresh graduates are also eligible
 The candidates whose family members are working in ICICI Bank cannot apply for the diploma.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted and informed about the next stage of the selection process for Probationary Officer. The selection process includes:
  1. Online Aptitude test
  2. Online Psychometric Assessment
  3. Case-based Group Discussion (GD)
  4. Personal Interview (PI)
  5. Merit List
*Those who qualify the above said tests can only sit for GD & the PI.
The training program is conducted in Bengaluru or any other location in India as determined by ICICI Bank.
Candidates who are shortlisted will be informed through email or SMS. Call letter will be sent through an email informing about the venue and date of the process.
These candidates are further given seven month intensive classroom training and further 5 months of internship with a stipend.

 Registration:

ICICI is a private company therefore there is no age relaxation or category based reservation. Registration for the PO program should only be accepted on online mode by visiting the official website www.icicicareers.com

 Visit the link www.icicicareers.com and fill up the application form online. Date and location regarding the examination will be announced later through e-mail or SMS.
Application fee is not to be paid online therefore one can proceed to fill up the application form available at the website. One can visit the website regularly to keep oneself updated with the latest information.
Candidates who will successfully qualify in the Probationary Officers Training program can join at the Assistant Manager (Band I) grade

Fees of the Training Program:

There will be a comprehensive training program which will be of six months duration. It will include two months of internship and four months of on the job training with Bank authorities.
Fees:  
Fees for the Probationary Officers’ Training Program are given below:
  1. a) Rs.371750/- (Loan amount of Rs.315000/- Plus applicable Goods and Service Tax, which is presently at 18%)
  2. b) Rs.16800/- (Cost of Tablet + Cover + SD Card + VAT) Total amount: Rs.388500/- which can be self-funded by the student or can be availed from ICICI Bank as an education loan
One can undergo this training by paying a fee of Rs.3.88 lakhs that can be paid by one OR avail an educational loan from ICICI banks itself.
Repayment Terms
Candidates who will avail educational loan can repay the same once he or she joins as a Deputy Manager. EMI of the loan will be fixed by the bank which will be automatically recovered from the salary.
In case a candidate discontinues with the program or leaves the company within 3 years after joining then he or she has to pay the entire loan amount of Rs. 378000/- with interest to the ICICI Bank.
